February 28 - March 2: KIXY Cares for Kids Radiothon
The 17th annual KIXY Cares for Kids Radiothon will be held February 28, March 1 and 2 at Sunset Mall. Radiothon will be broadcast on 94.7 KIXY FM from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday.
Radio personalities Jay Michaels, David Carr, and Rick Andrews, along with Miracle Mom Delaine Hale will highlight stories of children in the Concho Valley who have been treated at Shannon Medical Center.
During the three day event, the 2019 Miracle Kids will be introduced and listeners will hear updates on past Miracle Kids. The outstanding medical staff at Shannon Medical Center, the ones that make the miracles happen, will be on air to discuss our Miracle Kids, and explain more about needed items on our 2019 wish list.
Since 2003, the KIXY Cares for Kids Radiothon has raised $2 million to help improve health care for the kids in the Concho Valley.
Funds generated during Radiothon will serve the 16,000 children treated annually at Shannon. Like all Children's Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, 100% of funds raised from the event will help create miracles by funding needed medical equipment, training, and therapy programs for children treated at Shannon Medical Center.
If you are interested in being a part of Radiothon, contact the Children’s Miracle Network office at 481.6160.
The 2019 Telethon presented by Pediatric Dentistry will broadcast LIVE June 8, 2019 on KLST from 6-10 pm.
The goal of the annual Telethon is to raise funds to benefit the children of the Concho Valley and to thank those sponsors who raised money for CMN during the previous year.
Jay Michaels (Foster Communications), David Wagner (KLST), and Miracle Mom Delaine Hale hosted this spectacular celebration. This year marks the 17th anniversary of Shannon Medical Center's Children's Miracle Network Telethon.
The 4 hour show will broadcast live from the Women's and Children's Conference Room at Shannon. Special segments featured the 2019 Miracle Kids and their stories. Additionally, local donor check presentations and information about the health services provided by Shannon to children in the Concho Valley will be aired.
